Paul Kelly is Professor of Tropical Gastroenterology and Honorary Lecturer at the Department of Medicine, University of Zambia School of Medicine. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Professor Kelly has published over 120 research articles related to aspects of gastroenterology in the tropics, in adults and children. His work includes several trials of treatment for cryptosporidiosis and nutritional approaches to environmental enteropathy.

His research interests also encompass gastric malignancies, hepatitis B and portal hypertension related to schistosomiasis.
