Professor Kaile is Dean, UNZA, School of Medicine, a Consultant in Chemical Pathology and serves as an Associate Professor of Chemical Pathology at the University of Zambia School of Medicine (UNZA-SOM) in Lusaka, Zambia. He is an Honorary Consultant Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine, University Teaching Hospital (UTH), Lusaka.
He is involved in research and mentorship of several undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research interests are in obesity, diabetes mellitus type 2 and dyslipidemias in HIV and AIDS patients on ART. Also, hypertension research and its complications.
Prof. Kaile has been Director/Coordinator for Community Based Education in the School of Medicine for 6 years and as Community based Lecturer for more than 10 years. He introduced the MSc programs in Chemical Pathology, Hematology, Clinical Pathology and Medical Microbiology in the School of Medicine.
