ECSACOP/BIA FELLOWSHIP EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The British Infection Association(BIA) strive to enhance and improve the prevention, management, and control of infection and to improve professional representation on national bodies formulating policy about training, continuing professional development and delivering health care in the field of infection.

During the recently concluded AGM in Uganda, the ECSACOP Council and the BIA launched the trainee exchange program which will provide an opportunity for an ECSACOP trainee to spend 4 weeks at a UK hospital and an opportunity for UK Infection trainee to spend 4 weeks at a hospital in the ECSACOP region. The ECSACOP trainee will present at the annual BIA Spring Meeting and the UK trainee will present at the ECSACOP Conference next year.

Eligibility Criteria

The ECSACP/BIA fellowship exchange program will cover all the transport costs and accommodation of the ECSACOP trainee.  Applicants need to be graduates of the ECSACOP Internal Medicine training program: Qualified in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

This award is highly competitive and all eligible ECSACOP internal medicine graduates are encouraged to complete the application form with supporting documents and send the applications to info@ecsacop.org by 31st December 2024.
